After fifteen years on the road, playing guitar and shouting proudly into a microphone, Mélanie settled down in Montreal where she studied sound engineering techniques. She then worked as a sound engineer, recording and mixing bands, and also for the cinema industry as a sound designer and mixer.
Her passion for sound and audio led her back to university where she’s currently finishing a master’s degree in digital music at l’Université de Montréal, studying electroacoustic, acousmatic and electronic music composition with famous composers/teachers (Robert Normandeau, Dominic Thibault, etc.).

Mélanie has taught synthesis, Ableton Live and music production techniques since 2015 and loves sharing her knowledge and passion with students, no matter what music or genre they’re into.

The thing that interests her most is helping people discover and develop their very own sound universe and she provides lots of tips and tricks as inspiration.

Mélanie offers private lessons, specialized workshops, and consultation for live performances. Mélanie is also offering online lessons for all levels students thanks to some nice applications where we can share our screens and sound. If you want to master Live and learn how to develop your own sound signature as well as mixing your tracks, Mélanie adapts her courses to exactly meet the needs of the student.
